Medical Expert in Dizziness, Vertigo & Imbalance

Dizziness & Vertigo

There are many different causes of dizziness, ranging from conditions which affect the inner ear balance organs (vestibular causes), to cardiovascular causes including low blood pressure, metabolic causes, as well as important neurological brain causes.

Accurately diagnosing the cause is essential, and further investigations with vestibular tests and imaging may be appropriate.

I am highly experienced in managing conditions such as Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), Vestibular Migraine, Meniere’s Disease, Vestibular Neuritis / Labyrinthitis, Vestibular Paroxysmia & Persistent Postural Perceptual Dizziness (PPPD), to name a few.

Imbalance

Maintaining our sense of balance very much depends on our ‘whole body’. In fact, good balance is often taken for granted. We require the inner balance organs (vestibular system), our vision, as well as information coming from our muscles and joints via the nerves. The brain has to make sense of all the available information by integrating and processing it and then make our eyes, muscles and joints work together to maintain our balance and allow us to move. Additionally, our emotional and psychological wellbeing has a significant effect on our sense of balance, as does our blood pressure regulation.

My extensive experience allows me to comprehensively assess these areas and identify the cause(s) of imbalance. I can then implement an effective & holistic treatment plan.
